Terms of Use
Last updated: April 14, 2026
1. Acceptance
By installing or using the vtexSnitch Chrome extension ("the Extension") you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Extension.
2. What the Extension does
vtexSnitch is a free, open-source developer tool that runs as a Chrome side panel. It inspects public VTEX storefront runtime data on the tab you are currently viewing — OrderForm state, store configuration, network requests, sellers and stock, regions, tracker pixels, and SEO metadata. All processing happens locally in your browser. There is no server, no account, and no paid plan.
3. License
The Extension is released under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify, and redistribute it under the terms of that license. The full source code is available at github.com/rheav/vtex-snitch.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to:
- Use the Extension only for lawful purposes
- Respect the terms of service of any VTEX store you inspect
- Not use the Extension to access data you are not authorized to access
- Not use the Extension to infringe intellectual property rights
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
5. No affiliation with VTEX
vtexSnitch is an independent project. It is not developed, endorsed by, or affiliated with VTEX. "VTEX" is a trademark of its respective owner, used here only to describe the technology the Extension inspects.
6. No warranty
The Extension is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind — express or implied — including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Data shown by the Extension may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Do not rely on it as a source of truth for business-critical decisions without independent verification.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the author(s) shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or related to your use of the Extension, including but not limited to loss of data, lost profits, or business interruption.
8. Third-party stores
When you inspect a VTEX storefront, any data shown by the Extension comes from that store's own public APIs. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content, accuracy, or availability of any third-party store.
9. Changes to the Extension
We may update, modify, or discontinue the Extension at any time without notice. Updates may change features, behavior, or compatibility.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Extension after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
